Paula Kilmer, MD

Dr. Kilmer is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with Borgess Spine. A physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor is the most qualified physician to treat musculoskeletal problems non-surgically.

Dr. Kilmer has been involved in many professional activities and community services. She was a Resident Physician Council Program Representative, an Information Management Committee Representative and an Anatomy and Journal Club Coordinator for Junior PMR Residents in her final year of residency.

After earning her bachelor of science at Western Michigan University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Kilmer went on to earn her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She then did her internship in Internal Medicine and transitional year at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Kilmer completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She is also a member of American Medical Association (A.M.A.), American Academy of PMR, Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports & Occupational Rehabilitation (P.A.S.S.O.R.) and the International Spinal Injection Society. Away from the office, Dr. Kilmer enjoys photography, antiques, hiking, tandem bicycling and skiing.
