Sonia V. Eden, MD

Sonia V. Eden, MD, a neurosurgeon and specialist in minimally invasive spine surgery at Neurosurgery of Kalamazoo, part of the Borgess Brain & Spine Institute. Dr. Eden is a Michigan native and earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Yale University in 1996. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, where she completed an internship and Neurological Surgery residency at University of Michigan Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Eden fulfilled a fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at the Semmes-Murphy Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee with Dr. Kevin T. Foley. Dr. Eden is an active lecturer and clinical researcher in the areas of deep brain stimulation, gait analysis, intracranial aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage. She is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association and National Medical Association. Most recently, she served on the medical staff of Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
